About

In 2024, Terrapin Sky Media was rebranded from Gavin Key Films, a video production company formed in 2021. What was just a freelance video company is now much more.

Terrapin Sky is a multimedia company, with a focus on film production, live music, community engagement, and more. From commercials and weddings videos, to short and feature films, to a music festival and live sound services, Terrapin Sky is a hub of creative work in the greater Monadnock Region.

Meet the Team!

  • Gavin Key

    President/Director of Development

Gavin Key is an award-winning filmmaker and musician, and founder of Terrapin Sky Media. As director of 2 feature films, music festival founder, and more, Key’s resume is as diverse as it is impressive. A 2024 recipient of the Ewing Arts Award, he has become an important part of the local arts scene at a young age. Gavin’s ambition, vision, and passion for film and music is the driving force of Terrapin Sky.

  • Quinn Wilson

    Creative Director

Quinn Wilson has been a filmmaker since before he could walk. With expert skills in cinematography, visual effects, editing, sound, and more, Quinn’s attention to detail and artistic precision is key to making each of our projects stand out.

Quinn is the director of our upcoming documentary premiering in summer 2025.

The Long Term Vision

While some may choose to keep these plans under wraps until they’re “ready,” I believe that the more people that hear about this, the more possible it will be.

The long term goal for Terrapin Sky Media is to build a state of the art facility that will house:

  • a soundstage for large scale film productions

  • editing suites

  • a theater

  • a large events space for live music and parties

  • a rent-able recording studio and rehearsal spaces for musicians

  • And more!

Why?

For decades, if you wanted to “make it in the arts/entertainment industry,” you had to move to Los Angeles or New York City. As many of you may know that is no longer the case. Lots of people are leaving Hollywood and other creative hubs for filmmaking and the arts have started blossoming across the country such as Atlanta and Austin. While it may seem ambitious, my goal is to build that kind of place right here in the Monadnock Region. Artists are clearly craving to get away from huge cities, while still being able to create work. From our charming downtown, to existing arts organizations like the Monadnock International Film Festival and the Colonial Theater, to our close proximity to Boston and NYC, I believe Keene can become a top destination for artists to live and work, especially with a resource like this.

“But Keene isn’t a huge city, and doesn’t have the infrastructure to support that”

We’d like to build Keene into a hub for filmmaking and other creative arts, in turn bringing more business, tourism, and jobs to the state of New Hampshire. Instead of abandoning Keene to build a successful business elsewhere, I want to give back to my hometown, bringing the industry here and to the rest of New Hampshire.

We’ve got a ways to go until we reach that goal, so…

If you have a lot of money, let’s talk. If you know the right kind of people, let’s talk. If you want to help spread the word, let’s talk.
